Postcard #1

"This is a postcard we got from Kris... he writes that it is Catawba, VA.  There is no fuel available there so they have to use a makeshift alcohol stove.  They stayed in a general store owner's barn and ate an awesome home-style meal.  From there they are onto Daleville for an actual resupply.  He reported on the diamondback rattler sighting 10 inches off his right boot.  He commented on the hard terrain.  He signed it Hindsight!!"

To help bring some of the readers up to speed, both Kris and Joel have "Trail Names" - a must for every serious hiker.  They are Hindsight and Slim Pickins respectively.  Those have got to be the best on the trail!!
